Welcome! For 27 years, I have worked in Catholic schools--the first four years as a high school teacher, the last 23 as a principal, president or headmaster. I am currently headmaster of Pope John Paul II High School in the Nashville, TN. metro area. I began this blogsite in 2005 to share my thoughts about Catholic education and issues in the Church and education more generally. I also post my weekly assembly addresses to the students here. These articles represent my own personal views and do not necessarily reflect the views of the school or diocese for which I work.

Cheer, Cheer for Old Notre Dame

I am blessed to have three children at Notre Dame this fall: Faus, in graduate school through the Alliance for Catholic Education, Cynthia, a senior, and Aaron, an incoming freshman. For all its flaws, Notre Dame remains a powerful force for good in this world. I am proud to be a parent and alumnus.

Faustin, we are glad to have Faus in ACE and hope your other kids will follow your family tradition of serving Catholic schools!

I love this video!
